There are more people who carry this virus than people who are not affected by the HPV virus. To date, several treatments for this disease have been developed. They are generally divided into two groups: conservative and destructive treatments.
Unfortunately, to date, it has not been possible to completely eradicate the human papilloma virus. The means and methods of modern medicine can only stop the growth of the virus, get rid of already existing papillomas, prevent the exacerbation of the disease, leading to the formation of new papillomas.
The human papilloma virus, which has settled in the body, will remain in it for life. When the immune system is weakened, it becomes activated, leading to skin tumors.
Treatment of human papillomavirus by conservative methods
Conservative treatment of HPV includes a series of measures aimed at strengthening the body's immune system and stopping the growth of the virus. In some cases this is sufficient and no operating methods are required.

Usually, interferon-based drugs are prescribed to treat human papillomavirus. In some cases, the use of special creams, gels and sprays works to destroy the virus in local tissues. Under certain conditions, their use leads to necrosis of the tissues affected by the virus, which makes it possible to abandon the use of destructive treatments.
Treatment of human papilloma virus with killing methods
Killer treatments aim to directly destroy tissues affected by the virus. These methods can be divided into two groups: chemical and physical.
Chemotherapy for papillomas involves removing tissue affected by the virus using chemicals. Today, several classes of drugs have been developed to remove papillomas in different areas.
There are several physical methods to remove papillomas. The most common methods are electrocautery, cryosurgery, radiosurgery, laser therapy.
Electrocautery involves removing the papilloma using a high-frequency electric current. This method has been used for a long time and has proven to be highly effective. But it also has downsides. First of all, these are painful sensations after surgery, lasting for a long time.
Cryodestruction, which is also a widely used treatment for papillomas, offers patients less inconvenience. This method is based on freezing the affected tissue using liquid nitrogen. Healing of cold sores occurs within one to two weeks. It also leaves no marks on the skin.
This method is used exclusively to remove papillomas on the skin. If it is necessary to remove the papilloma on the cervix, this method is not used, because it is ineffective in this case.
The most optimal method of treating human papillomas in terms of effectiveness, painlessness and prolongation of postoperative time is papilloma removal laser. This method is based on the use of a surgical laser.
The special feature of the method is that immediately after removing the affected tissue, the laser will seal the blood vessels, helping to prevent the possibility of bleeding. This method does not cause any complications or scarring. The recovery period is one month.
There is another modern method of removing papillomas - radiosurgery. This method is based on the use of special equipment to excise damaged tissues by exposing them to powerful high-frequency radio waves.
Despite the successful application of the modern methods described above in medicine, surgical removal of papillomas is still widely available. This is probably the most painful method, prolonging the postoperative period. But in some cases the application of this particular method is shown. For example, surgical removal of cervical papillomas is used in oncology.
Recovery time
Regardless of the method used to remove papillomas, certain measures must be followed after surgery. Including, drinking a lot is shown, adhering to a frugal regime.
In addition, comprehensive measures are needed to reduce the concentration of papilloma virus in the body. Usually, for this purpose, the use of drugs that strengthen the immune system is prescribed.
Remember that removing papillomas on the skin or mucous membranes does not eliminate the presence of this virus in the body. To prevent papillomas from forming again, it's important to lead a healthy lifestyle and see your doctor regularly.
